Bob Galloway Memorial Bike Ride

The Annual Bob Galloway Memorial Amish Country Bike Ride

Each year in September bicycle riders from all over Illinois and
surrounding states descend upon the Illinois Amish country for on the
biggest and most scenic bike rides in Central Illinois.

There are numerous bike routes you can choose from from 5 miles for the
whole family to 100 mile routes for the hardcore bike riders.
Assistance vehicles travel the route for safety and for those who decide
they are just too tired to keep biking.

After the bike ride there is numerous shops to visit in downtown Arthur.
The Great Pumpkin Patch is also open for the season which attracts thousands
of visitors each season.  If you just feel like getting some energy
back you can stop at one of our numerous restaurants to enjoy a sit down
home cooked meal.

We try to schedule perfect weather each year for the Amish Country bike
ride and we have been pretty successful in years past.  We usually have
crisp cool weather which is perfect for bike riding.  The colors in
Amish country really start showing in September with the leaves changing
colors, farmers in the fields working on crops. and the beautiful fall
colors at The Great Pumpkin Patch.
